- 1½ cups (300g) granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2½ cups (325g) all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons cream of tartar
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon fine sea salt
- For the Coating:
- ¼ cup granulated sugar
- 1½ tablespoons ground cinnamon

- Prepare the Dough:
- Cream butter and sugar until fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla, mixing well.
- Combine flour, cream of tartar, baking soda, and salt in a separate bowl. Gradually mix dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
- Chill the Dough:
- Wrap the dough in plastic and chill for at least 30 minutes to enhance flavor and texture.
- Preheat and Coat:
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Mix cinnamon and sugar for the coating in a small bowl.
