Description

Red velvet brownies strike a balance between elegance and indulgence. Their fudgy texture, paired with a striking red color and cream cheese frosting, makes them ideal for special occasions or as a sweet everyday treat.

Ingredients

Scale

  • Dry Ingredients:
    • ⅔ cup (95g) all-purpose flour
    • 3 tablespoons (20g) unsweetened cocoa powder
    • A pinch of salt
  • Wet Ingredients:
    • 1 stick (115g) melted unsalted butter
    • ¾ cup plus 2 tablespoons (175g) granulated sugar
    • 2 large eggs
    • ¾ teaspoon vanilla extract
    • 1 tablespoon white distilled vinegar
    • 23 teaspoons red gel food coloring
  • Optional Additions:
    • 1 cup white chocolate chips

Instructions

  • 1- Preheat Oven: Set your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  • 2- Mix Wet Ingredients: Combine melted butter, sugar, eggs, vanilla extract, and red food coloring in a bowl.
  • 3- Add Dry Ingredients: Gradually whisk in flour, cocoa powder, and vinegar. Mix until just combined to avoid overworking the batter.
  • 4- Incorporate Optional Ingredients: Fold in white chocolate chips if desired.
  • 5- Bake: Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 25–30 minutes. Use a toothpick to check for doneness – it should come out with moist crumbs.
  • 6- Cool and Frost: Allow brownies to cool completely before topping with cream cheese frosting.
