    • 2 oz unsweetened chocolate, melted
    • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
    • ½ cup vegetable oil
    • 2½ cups granulated sugar
    • 2 large eggs + 2 egg yolks
    • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
    • 1¾ cups all-purpose flour
    • ⅓ cup Dutch-processed cocoa powder
    • ¾ teaspoon salt
    • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips (optional)
  • For the Peanut Butter Swirl:
    • 1½ cups creamy peanut butter
    • 6 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
    • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
    • 2 cups powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat and Prepare Pan:
    • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.
  2. Make the Brownie Batter:
    • Melt unsweetened chocolate and butter in a heatproof bowl. Stir in vegetable oil, sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth.
    • Sift together flour, cocoa powder, and salt, then fold into the wet mixture until just combined.
    • Fold in chocolate chips for extra indulgence.
  3. Prepare Peanut Butter Mixture:
    • In a separate bowl, combine peanut butter, softened butter, vanilla extract, and powdered sugar. Mix until smooth and creamy.
  4. Assemble Brownies:
    • Pour half the brownie batter into the prepared pan. Drop dollops of the peanut butter mixture on top, then cover with the remaining brownie batter.
    • Swirl the layers together using a knife or skewer to create a marbled effect.
  5. Bake:
    • Bake for 28–32 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with moist crumbs.
  6. Cool and Slice:
    • Allow brownies to cool in the pan for 45 minutes before slicing.
