Lemon Pudding Cake Recipe

Description

A light, fluffy cake with a creamy lemon pudding layer, baked to perfection.


Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tbsp lemon zest
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp melted butter
  • 2 eggs, separated
  • 3/4 cup milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a baking dish.
  2. Mix sugar, flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, combine lemon zest, juice, melted butter, and egg yolks. Mix with dry ingredients.
  4. Beat egg whites to soft peaks, then fold into the batter.
  5. Pour into the baking dish and place in a water bath.
  6. Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown. Let cool before serving.
